about

North Dallas flower punks Sub-Sahara new song is called "13-12" and features Paulina Costilla of The Bralettes and Christopher Von Mises of Aztec Death. "13-12" was tracked at Cloudland Recording studios with Robby Rux and Joe Tacke.

From the band:

"'13-12' is a song that has been in the works for a very long time and we hope you will listen to it's message and acknowledge that police brutality and oppression is an ongoing issue that has to be addressed and dealt with. 100% of our bandcamp proceeds will be donated to Not My Son a DFW non-profit organization that is focused on bringing the community together through events, rallies, and organized discussions focused on reforming city policies that perpetuate systems of oppression."

lyrics

You act like a victim when you're under fire.
A badge and a gun you're nothing but a coward.
Why do you keep your head under water?
Because let me remind you that blue lives DON'T MATTER!

There's no good cops!
Only bad cops!
Chasing you down!
Locking you up!

How many lives will you take today?
Don't tell me, a lot, nothing's changed anyway.
You better watch watch watch watch watch your neck!
And with all due respect I hope y'all rot in hell.

There's no good cops!
Only bad cops!
Choking you out!
Taking your life!

There's no good cops!
Only bad cops!
Shooting us up!
Killing us all!
