"DESPEREAUX" is the first single to arrive from Dallas indie rock quartet FIT's recent recording sessions with legendary indie producer Adam Lasus (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Yo La Tengo, Lilys) at his LA studio, and it is an ode to inclusiveness. Inspired by the French children's book of the same name, "DESPEREAUX" is a call to be who you are and to accept others for who they are.
"We don't care who you are / Or where you're from" repeats the chorus just ahead of an extended instrumental section that dances into a frenzy before crashing into viceral, raucous glory. "DESPEREAUX" introduces the listener to a more dance-pop leaning side of FIT, with synthesizers and digital percussion, created with the help of co-producer, mixer, and Grammy award winning drummer Jordan Richardson (Ben Harper & the Relentless 7, White Denim, Ringo Starr).
"DESPEREAUX" will be available to stream everywhere April 29, 2022 via Dreamy Life Records, with a four song EP from the sessions to follow close behind, to punctuate the versatility and excitement that FIT have been showcasing with their live sets over the past year.

lyrics
Jenny
Don’t come around no more
All your friends
They wonder where you are
City
This city is a nightmare
It don’t care
It let you down
Under the warm lights of your parties
So sit down
Pretty
Who’s creepin’ through your head?
Run before the devil knows your dead
City
This city has a dead state
It don’t care it spit you out
Into the cold nights of NOHO
So stand up
We don’t care who you are
Or where you’re from
Despereaux
One more time
Take all that you can take
On new crime wave
We don’t care who you are
Or where you’re from
Despereaux
